Well there is nothing like turbulence on a plane ride to make you realize how fragile we as human are, the whole ride I was looking out the window in fear of my life. I was bit scared as we started our descent into the Anchorage airport. Obviously I survived. I was excited because I had never been to Alaska but also very anxious to finally see one of my very best and long time friends. I don't get to see her very often but it is instant, there are not a lot of friends out there that can just pick up right where the left off. Often times you feel like you have missed so much in that persons life that you no longer feel apart of it. It is a great feeling to know who my real friends are at the end of the day.
Day #2:
5:39am
I won't really write about my business in Alaska as that is personal but after we took care of what needed to be done. We had a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant called Humpy's Alehouse. The seafood was amazing! Afterward, we went to see some ice sculptures at a park not too fat from the Alehouse. As for Alaska it was just gorgeous, the sky was so crystal clear and blue. Anchorage was just encased in these beautiful mountains, they were covered in trees that made them look as if they were drawn with pencil. Unfortunately I did not get a good picture of them but you could see it from our Hotel so I took what pictures I could. It was cold of course but not too bad, nothing I have not experience in Washington but I will count my blessings since apparently it was a good day in Alaska. Our flight left around 1:00am and it almost broke my heart to let go of her but I will see her again, sooner than I think :)
