No sew fabric garland

I love garlands. They are an easy way to decorate a space, and make such a great impact in any room. Today I was combing through a few crafting blogs and ran across this article and knew I would have to give it a try someday. I can't sew so it was perfect for me, it means I can do it! I can walk into a fabric store and act like I am going to create something amazing to wear, but I am really going to create something amazing, to hang!

Materials:
Scrap fabric
Scissors
Hot Glue Gun
String/Twine
White Christmas lights (optional)

Step 1: Start by cutting your fabric into rectangles that are approximately 8 x 15, then start cutting slits on the side of each fabric rectangle, remembering to leave a space in the middle.

Step 2: Then tightly roll the fabric, starting on one of the long sides. You may have to detangle the strips as you go.

Step 3: Once it's completely rolled, fold it in half. Wrap a small scrap piece of fabric around the top to fasten the roll together. Hot glue the scrab fabric in place.

Step 4: Attach fabric to the string by pulling the string through the top loop of the fabric. Then it's ready to hang!
